Transform Journal
Engagement’ is a mostly unheard of branch within every university. It sits alongside ‘Research’ and ‘Education’. It’s role could be described as directing the connection between the universities and the wider community. The peak national body for this area, ‘Engagement Australia’, has slowly been losing momentum, while overseas in places like the US and parts of Europe, it’s been growing and has a good reputation. To fix this, the scholarly reputation of this body needed reinvigoration. The new design of their annual journal being their flagship publication, had been sent to every university in Australia; and with the new design, strengthened the community’s perception so much that the number of attendees at their annual conference has drastically increased, and many new universities have register as members with the organisation.
